Who are the residents of Oaknoll?

We are a community of active individuals with a variety of interests who want to stay involved. Our residents have planned for their future in an environment that respects their lifestyles and preferences while providing an extraordinary experience in retirement living. Many of our residents come from other states and everyone is involved in making new residents feel welcome. Our residents also enjoy sharing in the arts and culture associated with the Iowa City community and the University of Iowa.

Our residents are at least 62 years of age or older. They are individuals who decided to leave behind those extra cares and worries of home ownership and come to Oaknoll to share in a vibrant, active retirement community with friends and neighbors and have the assurance of LifeCare.

At Oaknoll our residents participate in planned social, cultural, recreational and spiritual activities. Residents have the option to join one of the 19 committees according to their interests. Working together, the professional recreation staff and resident program committee plan and coordinate a wide selection of activities.

The Oaknoll community is for people who want to take charge of planning for their future and who enjoy being independent and in control of their own affairs. It is a place where you can live the way you want to live.
